Gearbox Cooler and pipes.

Hi Folks.
A mate of mine is having gearbox problems which looks like it's caused by overheating. We have changed the oil and filter but the problem is still there. We are now thinking it could be a blockage in the cooler or lines?
Does anyone know if it's possible to flush out the cooler and lines and what is the best way to do it or is it best to replace with new components?
Thanks in advance.
Gary

I replaced the pipes , cooler and oil cooler thermostat housing when I rebuilt my transmission and you need to make sure the bottom rows of your main radiator aren't blocked as it feeds the cooler as this is the common reason for the over heat
Island 4x4 was best when I did mine.
You could check the main rad first but for peace of mind for my new transmission I did the lot
