tyre pressure monitoring sensors and second set of wheels

Hello. I am awaiting to be a new member with 2010 TDV8. And I want to ask a question about TPMS. If I will order a second (winter) seto of wheels - Do I need a second set of sensors? Or they can be moved from the original wheels? Or is it possible to turn the system off?

Like nbunney said - they never come out intact - you might be lucky because your original set are quite new but I dont think they are supposed to be changed as often as you may change the wheel. The nut which secures the valve to the wheel is made of a very light cast alloy with a small seal which could get damaged.

I brought myself a second set of new alloys then needed to fit some TPMS sensors. The valve/sensors were reasonably expensive from Land Rover Parts for what they are I thought (approx £65 each) Neutral

I have seen a couple of sets available on the eBay in recent months, but quite rare (cheapest were approx £50 for the set) - however the lowest retail price I have found was from The TYRE EQUIPMENT COMPANY Ltd.
www.tyre-equipment.co.uk

They were the Genuine OEM Part (no.65741-67) which LR/Jaguar use themselves, manufactured by VDO/SCHRADER. I had to purchase a set myself a few months ago (£183.30 inclusive for 4) and they were delivered within 12 hours of ordering them.

Also - they are self programming, which means you will not need to have the Pressure Warning Light switched off by a dealer - they reset the light themselves within a few times of switching the ignition on/off.

Does anyone know if the OE sensors will fit D3 wheels (6 spoke 19" to be exact)?

...and for the best prices on any Land Rover parts or accessories - contact "The Large One" on the disco3.co.uk forum - he quoted me substantially less than the prices you mentioned above
