Which dealer did you phone? Taggarts North & South in Glasgow seem to have their prices wired to the moon.

My sister lives in Newcastle so I called Team Valley when our SC was due a service, even taking the fuel for driving to Newcastle into account, I was £200 cheaper then I would of been staying local.

Grant, Newcastle is further then most would probably travel for a service, but phone around, prices seem to vary wildly between dealerships.

It was taggarts motherwell. Strangely the car has been serviced at Team Valley all it's life! I will call them tomorrow morning and see!

Ok, Called Team Valley, they quoted £471 !!!! Called Parks in Ayr £499, Called Pentland Edinburgh £620, Taggarts Motherwell £803 !!!

WOW Thats some discrepancy

Taggarts in Glasgow have taken the rip roaring on service costs for years. Even when we had a D2 we had a weekend away in the Lake District and had it done at Kentdale LR on the Saturday morning. The difference in service price paid for the hotel!!

Our AB is on a service plan with Taggarts at the moment. It was a £350 deposit when it was first serviced and then £30 a month thereafter which means we've got nothing at all to pay come service time other then the cost of the MOT.

They offered me a service plan with £500 deposit and £80 a month for 23 months. Thats is a 4 year one I think so working out at £580 a service!

Guys where my car isn't going.
