The only thing that would concern me is, if the previous owner was unable (unwilling) to keep up with finance, what else has been neglected.

there is also the small chance, that the previous owner still has a key...... a look at the logbook tells you the chanes of him driving past it everyday though.

Way too much cash for a high mileage repo with a dubious history. A couple of clap more gets a car with known history and probably quite a bit less leggy. At that cost I'd steer clear and find something which is more of a known value.

It seems all the money to me. My friend is on the verge of selling his great condition 2005 4.2 VSE (full AB spec) silver with 85000 miles and his gets serviced every year at the main dealer.....And his wouldn't be much more than this one. |

Sorry to go off topic but I note the reversing camera has the yellow lines. My 06 plate has no lines which renders the reversing camera, next to useless.

I used the 2010 onward Land Rover reversing camera from Dan at Duckworths, the cabling is the same, but you need a new holder (and it needs moving)

I've looked around here at vehicles being sold by repo companies. The cars are strictly AS IS. Usually they haven't even been washed and are full of garbage from the last owner. The worry about a previous owner keeping up with maintenance when $ is scarce is a big one. They get sold for what is still owned on the loan, not the value of the car. If you owed substantially less than the value, the logical thing to do would have been to sell it, pay off the loan and keep the difference. Therefore, I didn't see any real bargains. The repo company DID have to get a clear title through the courts before proceeding with the sale, so that shouldn't be a worry. I think I'd stick to a dealer or a private sale unless the deal was so tempting that I could bank a very tidy sum for 'surprises'. |
