2004 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Galway Green

Anyone know what this is?

And what it does?

Washing car today and found it hanging loose under the front radiator grille. As you can see it is cracked,

Maybe I should have said its a 4.4 petrol 2004

It obviously slides in to some kind of bay (see arrow) so look for that bay and where the cables are going.....sorry I am a
non tech.

It bolts to a plate above the front tow eye and I am guessing that the arrow is there to make sure it is pointing ahead?? Doesn't slot in to anything.

Also no screens in the car, its a HSE.

Could be a speed trap Laser/Radar warning receptor, if this is the case it's probably accompanied by a buzzer and/or a LED warning light inside the cabin or something like that. Supporter and maintainer of EDF - Mrs Edfors' shopping cart.

Think you got it!!
There is a tiny red led just left of the binnicle, always wondered what it did. Never seen it flash or heard a buzzer so presume its no longer working. Would have been handy

Thought the barcode scanner was a great idea, sadly it comes up as a "A312498"

Took it apart and to me looks like it could be a radar detector.

Going to give it a go with contact cleaner and toothbrush, reassemble and see what happens
