I'm going to investigate the new Apple TV with the TV player app / Amazon Prime app and use putlocker for films and series - iptv seems the way to go. Bye bye sky. "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."

If it isn't as simple as using the Sky remote, nothing will convince her otherwise. Also the lack of "recordability" is enough to out her off, even if it was simpler.
