She'd probably only be able to post on here if IT gave her a special typing wand so her sausage fingers didn't interfere.

From the picture posted I'd guess her keyboard would likely feed a family of four for a month. Twisted Evil

Halfrauds pink stuff - this year it says -6 on the label (watch out as some of it says -4) but last year it was -10. Once I have poured a bit into the cars I dilute it with water so it goes a bit further. However I always get caught out as I tend to just add water in the summer, then suffer when we get the first frost! .

old thread ressurection my appologies

I spent the weekend cleaning out the washer system and put in a new wiper motor on the rear.Cleaned out the non return valve and the brown gunk (lots) that blocked up the system.Question is will this happen no matter what is in the washer system or can I add something to it to help keep it clean or is there a certain screen wash that might prevent it..?

Having the right dilution of screen wash should prevent mould growth, just water or too weak and the water will smell and mould will grow...

I had to remove the washer tank from my wife's BMW 1 series to get all the gunk out that was stopping the washer from working properly (involved removing the wheel, wheel arch liner and many other parts to access the bottle which was the same shape as the wing itself and therefore not so easy to flush out) - we (read I) make sure now that the bottle always has the proper level of chemicals in it now... Thumbs Up

same here Simon,I pulled the pumps out of it and cleaned the inside of it as best as I can.It stills seems to generate the gunk but maybe theres nothing you can do to stop the mould apart from keeping it as full as possible with screen mix

The stuff i always recommend is sold in GSF for a few quid for a 5 litre tub and dilutes nicely at 50-50 and did the bad winter of '10-'11 without icing up in the rental disco and fl2 Smile asda and supermarket stuff never seems to work well Sad FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Just try neat screen wash for a while, it will certainly suppress any mould growth - I prefer the apple scented stuff Thumbs Up

Last year I bought 2 x 5ltrs of Lidl Brand screen wash. I seem to remember it costing £5-99 a bottle. The bottle states it good to -60c. I have not seen another product thats as good for the price. I dilute it 4 to 1 in winter and have never had a frozen bottle since.
