Recently got back from a month down under. Had left FFRR out in the cold but I must have inadvertently put the handbrake on before leaving it. Jumped in and it started first time. Shifted into drive and pressed the accelerator and it wouldn't budge Brakes were locked on! Eventually after a bit of forward/reverse effort I got it moving. But there was quite a judder when applying the brakes, seemed to come from OSF. It gradually improved on the 200 mile trip, but still appears occasionally after a week now, all be it fairly faintly.

I'm assuming it was slight seizure of the brake pistons due to water/rusting. Am I correct? Am I doing any damage now?

Any suggestions gratefully received

the handbrake has shoes and drum is independent of the main front and rears which are pads and discs....i would agree that its probably a slight rust/moisture problem.. ... - .- -.

I think it is a sticky caliper , best sort it now before it ruins your discs.
