United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Orkney Grey

I remember my mate asking me to stop his golf brakes from squealing. I took off the front wheel, to find a pad that had almost slid out of the caliper, it was so thin. And the disc (non vented) was like a meat slicer!
Often, mot testers look at brake discs, but with the wheel on... mine pointed out a (wear) lip, and I got an advise. I did them, but they were no where near as bad as those in this thread.
It's lucky you where 'interested' in the problem, as many, (non forum drivers) might just, 'wait until the service....'

where we're they from pete?

First one is a Jag, second one an Audi IIRC..

Found them on google a while ago, my old CL500 had a cracked front disc, brakes felt totally normal, noticed it while cleaning the wheels...!!! Pete
