Not sure about the L322 but the P38 was fairly impressive. Once drove (slowly) into a long ditch where the standing water came up to just beneath the bonnet. The water came up over the windscreen at some points whilst moving along. Never had a problem - got through to the end some 100m later and dry feet - no water had got in through the doors either!! |

Incorrect good sir. 19.5 inches is for the 2003-2005. 06-09 can wade up to 27" The issue really is the traction if you can create a good bow wave and keep movement you can go maybe 3 feet or so. I've driven thru 30" or so. OffRoadRover.com An American Western Range Rover Off Road Blog |

My contribution of what happens when the rear end decides to be buoyant and you hit a a rock with the front wheel and lose all momentum.

As a very very simple rule, I go by the top edge of the alloy wheel as a suitable depth. That way, you're gauging depth on what is actually touching the ground, and not the bodywork. If you're maintaining momentum, then it should be fine at that depth. V8 or else ... |

Do you take the spare wheel out and roll it through as a measure to check? letters not necessarily in the right order |

In the recent bad weather, came across a flooded stretch of road, with a 66 plate BMW X5 being towed out by a 90.

What was in the LR in the vid? Sounds like the driver and passenger were wearing suits of armour or at the very least going to a saucepan collectors convention with 50 or 60 of their own rolling loose in the back.... QUID FACIUM TIBI

that noise may have been his recovery gear and jack kit. But then again the defenders and series LR's are much less refined than the fatties. |
