I doubt yours will be dirtier or more blocked up than either mine or NMJ's and neither of us have reported any restricted performance alarms, so I doubt it. G reg 2.5VM Vogue Portofino red 1991- 1999

BB
I wish I could have seen the smile on your face -ear to ear Laughing
now this are the pictures you ask for:

in this pic. i markt the things to remove, move, disconnect.

note vacuum pipe to be disconnected

be very careful when handling butterfly as not to strip the servo gears. i used toothbrush dipped in brake cleaner and lint free cloth to clean. i do not use any lubricant.

stu, as BB has said, none of us had warning or fault reported and all our sensors where the same.

I bet you a pint of lager that battery disconnect will sort you out. Thumbs Up

BB i would like to do software update on my to. what is the Land Rover cod for it. we have no dealers in Bosnia so i will have to go to germany or italy for that, or maybe I'll just drive up to UK Very Happy . I do have Queen's passport Thumbs Up

Nino Nino,

I come home with a smile on my face after every trip, I just love the car.

The software update is detailed in LTB 00454, but sorry, I do not have a copy to post. ( Someone may be able to help.)

Thank you for the brilliant pictures. I will be having a look to clean mine out soon.

Cheers & best wishes.

I need to re arrange some of the pipework in this area.... the feed coming off the rad hose which goes to the left hand of the green circles, is the wrong side of the other hose, which is then chaffing on the engine cover. Good to know this push fit connection can be taken off cos I can then put it back in the right place so it sits in the channel on the foam padding Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

if I'm correct, and I might not be, the sensor attached to the plastic intake duct is the MAF? in which case this might benefit from a clean as well...... can't remember if it comes out of the housing though, the electrical connector comes off but IIRC I broke it trying to get it out when I swapped the turbo hose (the o ring was leaking where it joins to the throttle body). There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I cleaned mine at the weekend then had the 80mph cough software update done on Monday so I can't really say which had the most effect, but it was certainly running well yesterday.
I am off down to Wimbledon next weekend so will be giving it a good run down the M6 / M40 .
I will check fuel consumption and report back . G reg 2.5VM Vogue Portofino red 1991- 1999

I don't think it would make much difference Stan.

As it's a pressure sensor, providing it's not sealed from the pressure in the inlet manifold, then having soot all over it would only have a minimal effect.
