SVAutobiography Orders

Hi

I ordered my SVA on the day the 18MY specs were released. However, dealer is saying LR haven’t opened the order allocations for SVA models yet. Has anybody else ordered an SVA with a confirmed build date? Mine is saying Holding Pool Sad

Yes I'm also being told the same..... My initial spec was a 3.0TDV6 SE, although I'm now changing the car, most likely to a 5.0 SC Autobiography. My deposit was paid last week in September, I was given an estimated delivery date of 31st January, looks very unlikely now

Well, 2.5 months after it was meant to be, my SVA-D is finally ā€˜builtā€™! Now itā€™s heading to SVO for the next stage of finishing...

Iā€™ve gone for a very ā€˜simpleā€™ configuration. Itā€™s full specification but no custom paint etc. I understand all SVA vehicles go to SVO around have various elements of build changed. Itā€™s a shame I donā€™t know anymore detail but I believe they are built as a more ā€˜standardā€™ 5.0 Autobiography initially.

Spoke too soon. It may be built but now itā€™s on hold as they still havenā€™t sorted the rear executive seating issues. Urgh.

We have an SV Autobiography Dynamic on order but just received this message. Dealer has no idea when we can expect to receive the car.

ā€œWe will communicate with further information when it becomes available.

this vehicle has been prioritised and escalated to manufacturing as vehicle is awaiting off line checks.

We do not have the detail of what causes the specific delay with an individual vehicle

We can assure you that this vehicle has now been escalated on our priority list and will be completed and tested before releasing.

Progress to clear vehicles is proving to be slow and challenging at present due to the high number of unfinished vehicles at the factory.

We will do all we can to push this through for you. We will monitor and keep tabs.ā€™

Hi,

May I add this to the comments already made.

I have had an SVA-D on order since 1st week of February with a handover date of 1st September.

I have been dealing with SVO direct, visited the Design Suite and ordered various bespoke items as well.

I received an email on 30TH MARCH from SVO saying that..........

ā€œ At this point we are unable to give a date for delivery, there has been a recent communication to say that orders for SVA and SVA-D will most likely now be 19MY as capacity for 18MY has been exceeded, and therefore I would expect delivery dates towards the end of the year, allowing the additional time for the bespoke conversion. Again, I cannot guarantee this but will work hard to get a more exact dateā€.

Another email then was sent after I stressed some frustration.......

This arrived 25th APRIL from SVO saying that........

ā€œ I understand your frustrations with the delivery being pushed back, unfortunately we are in the unusual situation where the order banks for 18MY have been closed early to ensure we build deliver and register all 18MY vehicles before the September cut off date. Added to this there is a delay to the 18MY SVA-D programme which has affected all orders of SVA-D globally, which has also affected our bespoke orders tooā€

So as the saying goes this is direct from the horses mouth and itā€™s just a waiting game but in my mind if my car is not at the Handover Centre before Christmas I will be requesting delivery for 1st March.

I hope this helps some of you who have orders in.

Any vehicle built before 31st August has to be registered by 1st September. If it isn't it can't be sold in the EU and is meant to be scrapped.

My vehicle is currently with SVO but I know that mine is one of the first SVA-D vehicles that have been built. However, there are quite a few awaiting SVO to do their bits as far as I know.

I'm due to take delivery in about two weeks...

I had a conversation with a friend in JLR around two weeks ago and SVO were still awaiting a delivery date for front bumper camera mounts!

Doooh! Come on JLR!

Sorry, but that can't possibly be true.

That suggests that if a car is manufactured and rolls out of the factory on 30th August the manufacturer only has 2 days to ship it to the dealer, do the PDI, sell it and register it.

Blimey, most dealers can't manage to do the PDI in that time frame Shocked Shocked 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography

Rob 99,

Yes that statement is true, hence why all cars are now on hold if they risk being close to the window of September 1st. So there will be no car running off the end of the production line anywhere near that time unless they have been built to meet the new emissions and rules set by the bloody EU Censored

Ah see that makes more sense now that I know it's to do with the emissions changes.

Sounds like there could be some real bargains around at the end of August as dealers will prefer to sell rather than pre-register the cars themselves 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography
