My heated seat goes off after a couple of seconds so i presume the element has failed , spoke to dan at ducks and the element is part of the leather cover and silly money to replace , has anyone successfully repaired an element or how can i test the element ??

I seem to remember someone saying that the seat bases are interchangeable - could you swap the passenger one over and see if it all works? If so perhaps an ebay visit for a new (ish) base?


Also whilst under the seat check for frayed wiring etc...

After some testing its the right side element thats failed

Put this:

"heated seat element"

into search. Lots of info. Also lots of issues with connectors and wiring to the heating elements so may be worth a seat removal and thorough testing. .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember
