Right - I'm back - sorry...

so - It appears I don't HAVE to upgrade it all but turn off Logic 7 and then tweak the settings..? I think thats what you guys have done with some success - I'll try that first.

Yea....Logic 7 is for surround sound sources, which CDs are mostly not....

Mine is acceptable now but still wish I had the HD system..... I have a LINN system in the house, so I tend to be picky
