Been having a play with steering wheels again! What do we think? I think it modernizes the interior a fair bit?

I think it looks nice, definitely more modern, not sure on the red paddles but what do I know, I covered my real wood with fake carbon fibre...  Pete

Oh dear boy... The red paddles and the red circle on top of the gear selector are all part of the SV Autobiography...

Ah, I see, that explains it... I had paddles on the 5.0, never used them, 20,000 miles and I always thought the car knew better than me which gear it should be in.... there again I'm very lazy and moving your finger to change gear just seems like such an effort...

I do love the steering wheel though...  Pete

always wondered why a luxury vehicle like the range rover has paddles...on a sporty type car yes but on the FF??

never used mine and i doubt i know how to use them..

but i digress, your steering wheel Craig is very 'clean' looking ..  ... - .- -.

I too don’t use the paddles! I’ve put mine into “only work in sport mode” so I don’t miss-hit them when manoeuvring… Which is REALLY annoying!!!

I Have other toys with paddles, there they work well…

That said, when I used to tow quite often, I landed up using the paddles then often as the car would hold low gears… 👍

I don’t use my paddles day to day but I find them great for overtaking on A roads where you see your space coming up in a few seconds, dropping a gear saves a short delay when you make the manoeuvre. I also use on bendy roads if I’m pushing on, to get engine braking approaching bends.

I have to admit I use them more for this second reason having done a track day in an M4 where the pro driver really worked the box FFRR SDV8 Autobiography

I like it, apart from the red paddles which, standard or not, spoil it for me.

I bought a 2018ish rimless mirror, took it apart and mounted the internals from our 2013 rear view mirror allowing the high beam assist and tint function to work...

inside is a circuit board which is nearly the same size in both mirrors albeit entirely different technology... From memory, I had to solder the tinting wires onto the frameless mirror...
