Little and Large . No we are not talking about the well loved comedy duo but the significant size difference between the RR and my wife’s replacement run around the Gen 1 BMW Mini Cooper.

Going from one to another is a heck of a contrast, air suspension vs rock hard ride on run flats and a sports suspension, lounge like comfort vs cramped seating for those in the back, command position vs on the deck driving position. The only thing that’s the same part is the fuel cap !

Got to say it though the mini is great fun , although it’s 23 years old it’s only done 42k so all pretty tight and in good order. This one has the Webasto sunroof retro fitted which was a rare option at the time as was the fully colour coded John Cooper Works body kit.

The RR had just come back from the garage getting its underside rust proofed and brake pipes and handbrake cables and bushes done and gone back into storage until show season so may see you around then.

All L322’s tend to have the same ageing challenges with corrosion, bushes , suspension.
After a concerted effort this year managed to eradicate all MOT advisories it seemed like a major achievement
