argh, Micks search makes sense. The lump of rubber with the horizontal lines on (you know the one), i did try to pull it but didn't want to cause any damage. Now that i know that it requires pulling off i'll have another go---so to speak Embarassed Ian

2005 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Tonga Green

just checked my car (2005) and there are no 'registration' marks to align the wipers?

on the jeep they are faint 'T' shaped marks on the glass - each about 25mm long

but on the subject of wipers

i've just bought OEM replacement wipers and note that there is no 'spoiler' on the drivers side blade?

do you remove the one from existing wiper blade?

i tried to get a group buy price on a set of adapters and frameless wipers from the USA but drew a blank. Cant remember who but someone on here had a set and was going to take some pics and i was going to try and get some reverse engineered but nothing came of it. If you get a pair take some pics and might be able to do something with it.

Hi that was me also.

STILL working away from home. Flying back early this week so will strip the wipers and get pics and measurements tomorrow- was going to do it last weekend along with diagnosing my faulty parking sensors but as usual had no bastard time- Sad think I'll just sell the RR- never get to use it anyhow. Sorry for all the delays.

FWIW you're right about the Bosch wipers on jag eng being US only but I got the Costco Goodyear ones on with minimal tweaks- Rob, that's one reason why I thought about reengineering the arms to have standard fittings on a-la Audi/BMW etc.

Anyhow I found my digi calliper so I'll document the adapter blocks.

Hey, had 10 mins to strip my wipers out tonight after work.

First off, apologies for the cr@ppy pics. Camera needs charging and I don't have time tonight.

The Width.

The height.

The depth/thickness

The Spacing

The Spacing short side

The hole

The Slot

As previously stated they are designed for a US market Bosch Evolution Wiper and as such required some minor tweaks though they appear to be machined from polystyrene and as such are easy to drill and file as required.

I'm more determined than ever to find some suitable wiper arms from another marque with frameless 'ends' and fashion something which looks less home made and are easier to change.

Whichever method you choose; I wouldn't bother importing these as I originally attempted a group buy a year or so ago- Shipping was awful, took ages and the product is cheaply finished. I'm planning to take some time off in a couple of months and will probably try to get some old RR wiper arms and suitable donor arms to play with.

I remember Rob asking about these- if you want to see them close up just let me know.
Thumbs Up

Look out for wiper mod v2.0!
