United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey

I've noticed when the new Disco's come up behind me, their headlamps twinkle purple from certain angles. I wonder if they are the bigger 12000k ones? 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

Stan - help !!

How do you remove the old bulbs ? I unplugged the wire from the square unit and then unclipped a circular surround at the base of the bulb, but couldn't seem to twist the bulb to release it and I didn't want to use too much force ...

I now have a horrible feeling that I need the £70 a pop D1R ..

It pulls straight out with no twisting. That black collar it the only part that twists (on mine anyway)

New bulbs can be a tight fit to push back in as well. V8 or else ...

Ok - they are D1S on my 2006 not D2S - serves me right for not double checking before ordering ! They were very reluctant to move, so I'll have a tinker with the ballast box when I get some time and see how the bulbs lever out ...

VV, not sure on the facelift bulbs re taking out but i suspect its just a pullout jobby like mine, probably a tight fit ...and yes they are different to the pre-facelift ranges.. ... - .- -.

Pre-facelift used D2S www.xenonmaster.com/images/d2sbig.jpg

Facelift use D1S www.xenonmaster.com/images/d1s(1).jpg which includes the ballast

I bought the D2R Big Cry , but the bulbs appear to be identical, so I will try to carefully pull the existing bulb out of the ballast or invest in a D1S to D2S adaptor (http://gothidxenon.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=76).
