2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Zermatt Silver

Bargain front pads for the Brembo calipers....I think!

I was just shopping around for front discs and pads for the 5.0SC.

Discs from Guy Salmon = £177.60 From Dan £142 so he came good as always.

Pads from Guy Salmon = £309.60! From Dan £230 big, big difference but still a lot for pads.

I therefore read the various previous threads on pads and noticed from this one below that the OEM pads were made by Jurid so I went on to GSF and selected Jurid pads at £132.84. However, it then offered a promo code of ClubGSF, in the chat box which appeared, reducing the price by 40% to £79.70!

All these figures include VAT.

indeed..finding out that OE pads are made by jurid is a great money saver... ... - .- -.

Excellent, I am glad it helped, 40% is a sizable discount. If you bought one set of front pads for £79 it also includes postage.

So what Guy Salmon will charge £487.20 (front pads and discs) for you can get the same thing for £221.70 by shopping about 2010 5.0 SC Autobiography

I want a set but I want low/no dust. The pads I have are dust machines.

Anyone got an opinion or experience with these?

Greg,
I have just accepted that horrible dirty brake dust is unavoidable and opted for the next best option.
1) Wheels that are easy to clean ( Style 502)
2) Lots of Polish on them, including the Chinese ceramic stuff. Then buff them up with microfibres cloth.
3) Rinse them clean regularly with hose pipe and soft paintbrush.
4) Genuine LR pads (Jurid)

Yes I saw those originally but although they come up as 5.0 Supercharged / Brembo pads, I don't think they are the correct ones. If you click on the Brembo pads that are the correct shape they are over £200. 2010 5.0 SC Autobiography

You could be right, although assuming they are the same size and fit and they come in a Jurid box, the same as the ones from the OEM, I think it would be unlikely that they have different quality pads in the same box from the same manufacturer for the same car. However, I could be wrong so I will provide an update and pictures when the pads arrive and compare them against the ones in the earlier thread. 2010 5.0 SC Autobiography

Try the ebc green/red/yellowstuff ive run them for three years and such a difference in braking and hardly any dust would never go back to the normal pads

Well they have arrived .
Fronts are Jurid, rears are Delphi .

I will be fitting the rears first, but mine are good for a few miles yet.

They are bloody awful, its got to be comparable when watching F1 and the dust that blows out (especially the Williams), alas not as fast

Well, mine have arrived, the box is identical to the ones from Dan, the labels are the same and made in the same place.....looks good to me. See pictures of OEM ones from the other thread
