I’m in the market for an Autobiography and I’m looking a Jan 15 car that has an SV Autobiography badge on the back

I know from it’s topix report it’s definitely an Autobiography but I’m not sure what the SV part adds or added , my understanding is that there is an option to have your standard car customised at the time of purchase by the Special Vehicle operations but I’m not sure what ( if anything ) would have been done

Is there any record I could access that would say if this car has been modified by them ?

Or perhaps the owner just put a badge on the back lol

Any help or information would be appreciated

Register and login to Topix, with the full VIN number you can access the original spec. / build sheet.

Best way to tell is the SV badge is on the right hand side and the rear lights are clear lens and the seats will be slightly different style and yes log into topix and that will definitely tell you too. If its a genuine SV Autobiography then it should have a leather parcel shelf and leather in the boot area. All of mine have shown on topix as Special Vehicles, also you should see a small sticker in the door shut that says Special Vehicles.

I’ve already got for the Topix report ( as I mentioned in my original post ) which confirms the car as being an Autobiography , if it was an SVA would this be listed on the build sheet ?

My original reservation about this actually be an SVA was the badge is on the left but any pictures I can find of SVA’s shows the badge on the right ( as you mention )

I have looked at my two LR's on Topix and cant seem to find the build sheet listing all options.
It just has a very high level summary and noting in the minor features? Is this normal for older cars? ie 2004 and 2008?

I would say the vehicle in question is almost certainly just badged as SVA.

In regards to the SV topic - this car that is up for sale does also have the SV Autobiography badge on the right side but no details on "SV" on the build sheet.

Is the SV badge added at the factory?

The car should also have a badge on the door pillar between front and rear compartments.

Also, when i visited the factory, the SVO badge on the rear of the car can designate whether the car is an SVO Diesel ( Black colour on end of badge) or an SVO Petrol ( Red colour on end of badge ).
