The switches for rear tailgate, lane change warning etc. near to right knee level are in a bad place for seeing and using. Agueroooooooooo. 93-20
I swear you will never see anything like this ever again....watch it..drink it in.

Cant believe no one has mentioned the hideous Jag gear selector, I hate it with a passion.
The lack of an analogue clock. How sharp the corners of the upper tailgate are.
Craig if only there was a realy nice carpet version of those mats. letters not necessarily in the right order

6 LR's so far: two manual, one conventional auto and three rotary autos. The rotary auto is my favourite Thumbs Up

I just wish, as it's only a switch, that they didn't feel tied to pointlessly mounting it where a conventional gear lever would normally go.

Time was when auto shifters were pretty generic on all cars - well floor mounted shifters on European cars. It was a lever that went P R N D 2 1. My L322 followed the same pattern, as did the previous Freelander 2 and RRSs, with the added bonus of being able to flick into sport mode without looking. I’ve had the rotary selector in the FPace and now the L405 and still often find myself groping for a lever, so not my favourite. That said, my JCW Mini has a lever which doesn’t follow the trad pattern; you select park by pressing a button. That and the mechanical handbrake causes confusion in my addled brain, especially if jumpimg from the FFRR into the mini!

Not a design fault, but a step back wrt the L322: when switching to low gear, the L405 has to be in neutral AND be standing completely still. In my L322 TDV8 we can change to low gear when in natural but the ff moving forward - similar from L to H again. Ie much more convenient to switch between high and low gear in the L322.

Totally agree. It is very annoying when off road and not wanting to lose momentum in conditions of poor traction to be forced to stop to select low ratio. Particularly as Low Ratio is typically needed much more when off road so it really is a backward step. I did query this with my dealer who took it up with LR as I wondered if mine was faulty but they think this is an improvement!

Has anyone else noticed that whoever designed the dashboard didn’t appear to know what shape the back edge of the bonnet was going to be?!

The trailing edge of the bonnet rises up in a curve to the centre, while the ruler straight dash clashes with it and means that you can see all the otherwise hidden gubbins at the back of the bonnet.

I’ll take a piccy of it in the daylight...

There were a few ideas here

Did I mention several times before the need for a larger fuel tank!

https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic48155.html Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

He who dies with the most toys wins...

Managed to fix the tailgate drip refereed to earlier by C..1000. The rear tailgate seal at the top was being compressed where the tailgate electrics enter the tailgate. A gentle push of these away from the seal fixed mine... Current: L405 SVAutobiography Dynamic 2018, Defender D240 HSE 2020, Defender 110 Adventure 2015, Defender 90 XS 2012, Lightweight Ser III 1975
