25mm spanner, nip the injector clamps up, put a mark down the injector with tippex to ensure the solenoid goes back in at the correct angle, then undo the 25mm nut... just be careful when you take the solenoid off as there is a very small pin that may fall out.. i did this a week or two ago on cylinder number 8, nearest to battery but im sure i read that the other back one will be the same way! 2004 td6 l322 - gone

Topix tells us to replace the injector seals pipework (incl leakoff pipes) as they are a one fit stretch/compression parts! They are not cheap but necessary I'm afraid... |

Hi Giles did you manage to do this in the end? I've been told to lift the engine but this seems like an easier way. Current 2007 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue |

Thanks. Did you have any issues with the injector afterwards following splitting it? Current 2007 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue |

No issues with the injector after I put it back together. I didn't leak and the injector values are good.

Thanks. I'm going back at it today. Did you mark the injector at all to ensure you got it tightened the same when you put the top back on? Current 2007 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue |

Also where do the plastic clips 2 coloured yellow and 2 white go? I didn't pay much attention to them when removing the injectors and can't really see a logical place for them. Thanks Current 2007 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue |

I don't remember marking the injector. When you tighten the 25mm nut down, it comes to a dead stop. I left the 25mm nut finger tight until I refitted the fuel supply pipe. Once it was aligned, I snugged down the 25mm nut. It was less complicated than I imagined.

Thanks Giles. Yes ita the plastic bits that are part of the clamp for the injector. I can't see anyway they would go.
