Hi Weegie, I tried the calibration steps to reposition the vehicle, so I think I can answer yes to your question.

My £4 aerial arrived this PM from the internet. Somehow managed to squeeze my hand to the connector on the back of the sat nav and switched them over. A short drive later and it mostly held onto a signal once the satellites were picked up. It was just a short test, and could be a red herring due to the wildly intermittent nature of the fault. I'll know more in a few days, but initially this looks like a cheap fix. However position of the £4 aerial is crucial and I'm not going to be happy with the way it looks. AFAIC If this really does fix my signal issues then Land Rover can go and get a new LR part and fit it for me FOC. They can also buy me a very big coffee for the inconvenience.
