Access mode annoying gremlin

So annoying little fault possibly. When I press the button for access mode it starts to lower then says suspension in extended mode please reselect.

Then if I press a second time it’s ok 99% of the time anyway.

Also 99% Time if I press access mode whilst driving slowly it works first off.

Annoying problem but I’d love to get it sorted.

Had the same issue, not sure on exact fault but if you have a warranty then possibly covered.
Mine was sorted by the dealers.

I had this problem that got progressively worse. It is because the exhaust filter for the suspension compressor is getting clogged with age.

When you ask it to lower if it doesn't lower quickly enough for the car's liking it thinks it has grounded on an obstruction and so goes into extended mode.

The good news is that it is a very easy fix - open the boot and remove the spare wheel and then the cover over the compressor. You will see the filter - it is a conical brass object with a hex at the compressor end. Remove this and drill a small (2mm is plenty) hole in the end of the filter. Refit and all should be well.

Alternatively, buy a new filter if you like spending money! Very Happy Bish.

Thanks for the reply buddy.

I’ll deffo check that out.

Don’t suppose you have pics or links or anything. Never even seen the compressor. So not sure what I’m looking for.

HMM... Turns out the silencer is not avaliable on its own anymore?

Any ideas?

Guess i could try the suspension with the silencer out and if it works ok i could try cleaning the origional?
