Tensioner Pulley removal options on a 4.4 TDV8

Hi All
Although this topic has been covered before I'm trying to decide what to do about my pulley / belt noise. The belt looks ok but it does not sit true on the main tensioner LR02289. When I put it back on the tensioner the moment you crank the car it slips 1/2 off. Would I be right in thinking that a tensioner change should solve it. I'm hoping to do this one without removing the fan and shroud. Does anyone know if this is possible.

Thanks

A bit fiddly but 1/2 hour job with boost hose removed , be careful with the little coolant pipe as it's easy to snap , did mine just before xmas for this very reason , don't wear thick jumpers !.

Not too bad a job, get it done before it goes or then it’s a belt replacement too which is a lot more involved. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thanks for the advice. The worst bit was putting the blasted tensioner bolts back in. I had to visit landrover as I dropped two and couldn't find them!!!
