It looks like the original block is still there
I had a similar car to sort I just rejoined the wires colour too colour
got a unit off flea bay all done paid around £120 for it
audio back DSP on screen again but sound quality is very low rent
Didn't need coding not in my case yours shouldn't either

Many thanks for the words of encouragement Bron Thumbs Up I'm hoping its going to be that easy to sort.
Just got to get a DSP that is working then I'll get cracking with the soldering iron.
I'm not too worried about the quality - all I want is to get it back to original with some audio at least so I can play my tapes Laughing

You’ll be fine
You can check individual speakers with a 9 volt battery
Just listen for the click
The only caution is on power and ground connections
If for any reason a speaker is wired back to front it will still work
Just be out of phase

Hello me again!
So after spending a few hours earlier putting the wires back colour to colour and removing all the foreign objects ready for the arrival my DSP I have a couple of extra issues!?
On the drive home I noticed air suspension inactive on the dash (no bong to tell me tho) but all was working fine?
I raised it to max height but I didn't get the bong that tells me that it doesn't like going over 30mph in max that I usually get?
Lights on the suspension all there and working as it was flashing and lowering to normal ride height - tried it a couple of times no change?
The other issue - indicators not behaving? No clicking noise or lights every now and then on the dash when engaged?
If I flick the stalk it takes a few seconds for it to work when it should be instant? On cancelling the the indicator it carries on for a few more blinks?
very weird goings on?

I'm hoping that by letting it rest overnight it will sort itself out!??

Air suspension could be a weak pump, simple fix with repair kit.

Really though, you need a fault code reader.

If you're getting weird stuff, have you checked the battery? Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Cheers Bushy but I reckon its something that I unplugged and plugged back in yesterday that looked abit oxidised - the big plug on the bm54.
It's got to be something I did yesterday as I've never had these issues before?
Fingers crossed its reset itself overnight?!

Corrosion in the plugs and units could be the key Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

So on the drive to take my boy to the childminders this morning the other issues have seemed to disappeared?
No inactive suspension or crazy mind of there own indicators? I think just leaving it overnight has reset itself - hopefully!!

BUT i have a little secret that i've been keeping from you all - I'm getting the blank screen on the dash and have had this since the beginning.
After a closer look at the other connectors look what I discovered.....

Broken pins too!!

Look at the state of this!!

Gotta love it!! Big Cry

Looks like I need to get back on the bay for one of these ASAP!!

Does anyone know if a replacement YIL000023 would plug in and play like the DSP?

Yes, should be, though you could probably clean and re-solder that one -- you may need to get in the unit too though Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
