Deployable Side Steps

Hello all - any suggestions if it’s worth putting in deployable aside steps? Family and parents sliding out of seats!

Any good offers from members who can ship to Ireland by any chance?

Thank you... I had seen the great deal on Duckworths but then saw it had ended. I’ll PM Dan. Thanks

Problem is they are suggesting that vehicles with a body kit require another trim (LR018383 and LR018384)- I’m
Unsure if that applies to aftermarket kits or RR kits and does that mean I have to remove my kit to accommodate the new side steps. They are an extra 300 to the cost.

Any ideas or advice most welcome.

+1 for deployables, nice addtion , only issue can be lifting on some lifts as the steps need to be removed. Only 3/4 screws each side. Some lifts can mange without their removal. 2015 4.4 AB

Front and back won't be an issue -- the sides will be Sad

I'm not familiar with the kit that you have fitted so don't know how those bottom skirts are fitted nor what it would look like if you removed them and simply fitted deployables -- sorry that's not much help.

Can you take the side skirt off? Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Thanks. Therein lies my problem. Here we don’t know if that side skirting requires removal in order to fit the steps as there is a requirement to use the LR018383 and LR018384 if a body kit is fitted.

But dealership doesn’t know if the kit that I have is actually the part referred to above.

If anyone has that part fitted on the forum it would be nice to see why it looks like it if I can get away without buying them.

Dilemma!!!

You cant have the skirts on for deployable, unless you do what i did and purchased Overfinch aero 3 side valances for them to fit in BUT there not cheap and rare and cost me 2k painted. _____________________________________________________

So basically remove the kit I have. Buy the modified sills, and use them as a replacement.

Damn. Damn. Damn.

What will that do to the look?

I think that was the point I was making -- deployables won't fit with those side skirts -- so can you take them off and see what you have left after they are removed -- it may be the it all looks fine and you can simply remove and fit deployables -- I suspect that you'll need the standard parts, which will be the part numbers you mention.

A standard pair can be picked up from Ebay for £50 in good used condition Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

For me if you've got the design kit and no side skirts with steps on they look odd to me and the steps look floating and the valances makes it look complete. _____________________________________________________

Oh that's a beautiful machine!

Totally agree. And that is my worry - the side skirting completes the overall look with the front and rear lines. When the step recedes, it's look doesn't replace the look and lines that the side skirting brings to the silhouette of the car, and I'm looking to see exactly what the replacement sills would look like with the side step recessed and deployed.
