"What I do not understand is why a manufacturer who is laying off 4500 staff because of poor sales is allowing customers to be so Censored off. They seem to think no other manufacturers are competing for our custom."
I don't think this is a JLR problem, I've been highly unimpressed by JLR dealers for a long time but my recent experience of main dealers from several other brands make me believe that this is an industry wide problem. While looking for a few new company cars I felt like I'd waded into a sea of incompetence, ignorance and deceit. with one notable exception ALL of the dealers I dealt with either didn't know what they were talking about, lied to me or simply ignored me.
Must admit JLR dealers are still capable of setting the bar at a new low level.

I also have such a knock.

I understand correctly that they should replace it according to LTB00557V10 all for free?

They should, but it may not be trivial to get them to do it.

I have an L405 that has a knocking rattling sound from the front front suspension only when first used and only when driving on a corrugated off road situation.

The dealer has told me that nothing is worn and that there is no issue - on 3 separate visits and complaints.

I have 6 months "statutory warranty" issued by the dealer/Jaguar Land Rover when I bought the truck second hand with 105,000 kms (60,000 miles).

I thought it was worn front control arm bushes but after doing a search I discovered this LTB00557v10 issue

I've been in contact with the Land Rover CRC who has advised that the dealer will be instructed to sort the issue.

As the dealer "service manager" has now been shown to be totally incompetent and/or a good liar than my inclination is to take the truck to another dealer even though that involves a drive of 250 km each way instead of 150 km....
I don't want a handful of sand thrown into my transmission or something similar.....

I am being to look for a L405 to replace my L322, I was looking for a 2015+ because I thought the suspension issues has been resolved, but the TSB would indicate it was not fixed Rolling with laughter until 2017.

So it is a choice of a 3.0, with the risk of a knocking engine or 4.4 with knocking suspension, Rolling Eyes

no, get an L405 4.4 diesel with the suspension already attended to.
mine only knocks when cold in off road conditions

and in any case, I still a have a couple L322 trucks and the suspension of the L405 compared to the L322 is like comparing a 1950 80" s1 Land Rover with a 2015 Defender - they are not even in the same league.
