I never know if mine will work from the fob or not but it always works from the switch by my knee or the switch on the tailgate.

My lower tailgate won’t close. Opens fine & the upper section is fine - but I’ve just learned to live with manually closing it. |

In my last L405, the tailgate sometimes didn't open with the key due to - I presumed - low battery. It would often then work as normal when I'd driven somewhere, and the battery had been charged a little. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB |

My lower tailgate stopped functioning using the remote. I noticed that, having dogs, there was some dirt/sand in the recesses at the rear of the gate. After sucking it all out with a Henry, it worked again.

Mine sometimes won't close from the key unless I press the unlock button first (car already unlocked) Geoff |
