New compressor suspension won’t drop

Hi so a friend fitted a new Compressor and relay today to his 2003 range Rover it will go up but then will not drop until driven over 30 miles an hour

You mean it will not come down from Off Road height using the dash buttons ?
Are the dash lights on (for the EAS) ?
Can you go to Access height then back to normal ?
Have you turned the steering wheel from lock to lock a few times? .

It Won’t go from normal to Access
lifts to off road nice then the front stays up When dropping to normal
if driven over 30mph it drops to normal as it should
We have tried the steering from side to side but still the same
You can hear it vent the air when trying to go to access but the rear only drops 1/2 inch

It was ok before up and down but very slow then had suspension inactive come up on the dash
So ordered a new compressor from LR spares

Small red light flashes when going up and down

Try battery disconnection procedure (to clear ECU and unconfuse EAS ECU)

or calibration of EAS required .

I think Joe90 is right , I assume the old comp was goosed ? so its probably got old codes stored up from trying to achieve demands which the old comp couldn't meet ?

Suggest check all your air bags and sensors, then do a calibration .

There is a distribution valve at the front (front RHS wheelarch), at the back (rear RHS wheelarch) and on the reservoir .
