Mounting wise according to LR the bumpers mount identically and nothing has changed in the architecture from 2013 to 2019 in regards to the bumpers etc.

Updated picture.. took her to Tixover to test everything out, and ended up recovering a pickup truck that got stuck. So I made use of my Rhino snatch block and winched him out from round a corner Thumbs Up

Everything was weighed and it totals just over 50kg + winch rope. But I opted for the synthetic dyneema rope, its stronger than the cable steel and far far lighter. I actually winched and recovered a ground out vehicle using a snatch block and it was incredibly effortless.

The only down side is not being able to fully see the drum and having to make sure you dont get a birds nest tangle up, so incrementally does it.

Handling wise I was concerned it would change the dynamics of the handling, but in reality it's barely noticeable, what was apparent from the full strip down of the front end, is how far back the engine really is and how far forward the front wheels/controls really are. If you take away the plastic bumper and stand next to the car front and rear you really do have a wheel on each corner of the car, so it's no wander the L405 is far more car like to drive on road than its predecessors... the more I pull off this car the more I respect its architecture and incredible engineering

When I was at Tixover yesterday, I watched 3 cars get stuck on the axle twister, a jimmny, a discovery 2 and a defender 110.. I crawled up to it in rock crawl mode (confident I had a winch of course) and put her in sport mode 2nd gear and gently held a small amount of throttle and let the computer do the work, my god does it make things look easy. Safe to say I think the audience that day were suitably impressed as it was all easy peasy, and also recovered a stuck vehicle Thumbs Up

No issues with cooling. Its absolutely fine, I guess the summer will be the true test.

The mount is all solid steel 8mm plate reinforced with 10mm ribs

I am a bit nervous about the cooling impact in an Australian summer (40C plus). Especially towing. 2017 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 (with e-diff)

You wont have an issue. Because the winch and mount only occupies the same surface area as the existing impact bar. So you loose no cooling. The reason cooling was asked in my situation was I have 2 light bars behind the grill so I am blocking airflow. But i have tested with the fans running and the draw is fantastic so I very much doubt there will be any issues at all. Especially if you have the AC on as the fans are always on with the AC and that will also keep things cool Thumbs Up
