Your wiring may well still be reversed. The TSB on here will explain.

This engine is notoriously difficult to bleed so you may still have air in the system. The pump should start running as soon as you turn the ignition on. 2017 5.0 Autobiography Supercharged

there's a bulletin on here which tells you the correct order of the pins i imagine its right.

Did you fill the top up with coolant and take out the bleed screw on the top hose of the new pump as well as the main bleed screw and hand pump/keep filling the reservoir until no bubbles? Current stable:

Ah, I did look for a bleed screw on the pump to no avail but do you mean there's one on the hose itself? Range Rover 4.2 SC

Well I have coolant coming out of the bleed screw above the pump and no air bubbles showing in the coolant header tank. Still I get the message 'Reduced etc'. Ripping my hair out and there's much much of it anyway. . . I must be doing something wrong.

Should I bleed without the engine running but ignition on?
How long should I bleed it for?

Any clues pleased as I am covered in snow and soaking wet. Range Rover 4.2 SC

I don't know the official right answer to this but I know how the Bmw ones work and have followed that philosophy.

took out BOTH bkleed screws. then kept slowly adding coolant to the tank until it ran clear of both holes with no bubbles (involved a fair amount of over flowing and exploding back out the filler.) then squeezed the hoses all a few times and then repeated again until clear. I then tightened the screw above the pump hand pumped a few times put some more in then put the key in position two and could hereto caveatting so while on I pumped the inlet by hand and kept topping up the header tank and then hey presto caveatting stopped. then put the bleeds screw back in once no bubbles.

Seems really convoluted but seems to work for me an its probably massively overkill. Current stable:

I thank you - nothing is overkill after what I've been through. . .
I'll give it a try a little later.
Could there any other reason why the car would throw up this error do you think? Range Rover 4.2 SC

fuel pressure - I had it on mine recently when they did the log conversion they hadn't sorted the pressure properly at the time. Ironically it was fixed then the week after it was back but this time it was the pump been good since touch wood.

Maybe other things too? Current stable:

well you'd think that but I had my fuel pressure hose off for a long time on mine and no fault (its the vacuum hose from the supercharger manifold to the switch with an electrical plug) check that's all on and not fell of?

I just can't fix it. Been on it all afternoon. No air bubbles. No errors on iid but still "Reduced Engine etc". The engine cover off and I can't see anything untoward.

BTW the error comes up only after running the engine in the drive and then, after about 10mins to warm up, try to rev it and the error comes up after the engine is rough. `Revving to up about 2000 rpm for any length of time does not produce the error. Range Rover 4.2 SC
