I hear the P400e is a torque monster with the hybrid assist. Does it ever fee like a 4cyl? looks lovely by the way with the light wood!

just out of interest if you have moved them from front to back - can they be sourced separately and installed in any age of L405

I don't think the pillows can be bought separately as they are part of the seat package Thumbs Up "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you.

Thanks for all the supportive comments. No buyers remorse yet!

The P400e is a superb drivetrain so far (I’ve only driven 106 miles myself). After I have done some more miles I will write up my thoughts as others have done. So far I am finding the performance excellent. My last car was an L320 RRS 3.0 TDV6 and this P400e blows the socks off it every regard, from performance to economy to refinement, as it should do. It has plenty of torque, yes. I can’t give it full throttle yet as I specced the active locking rear diff and you have to wait for 1000 miles before giving it the beans, and because this is a keeper I will play it by the book.

In electric mode wafting through London it’s an absolute joy. When the engine is running and you want to make progress it lifts up its skirts and off you go even at 70% throttle. I’ve not revved it hard enough for long enough to form an opinion on the 4 pot sound, but I can’t see me flooring this thing so not sure I will care about this compromise. MPG on my runs so far is between 24 and 250+ MPG. Not that I give a hoot about MPG, but it’s an interesting metric. At 99% charge it shows 21 miles range, which is fair enough in this weather I feel (and reality is less I reckon), nd the hot stone massage probably doesn’t help Laughing

The boot’s a bit small though with exec seats plus PHEV battery. I knew it would be, but it’s disappointing in such a big bus. Generally max 3 occupants, so I can split fold if I ever need to, and my son is cockahoop over the rear seating. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

You don’t need a driveway to run a plug in hybrid, although I am lucky that I can park outside my front garden 95% of the time. As for the paint, I do not have a satin finish, but the weather surely made it look that way. Looks quite good! Laughing

What do you get if you cross a free-rolling Mercedes Sprinter and a parked fatty on a hill?

Give up? It’s this:
