2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Buckingham Blue

Newbie from Derby, 56 plate 4.2 sc

Just taken delivery of my Buckingham Blue, Sand interior SC. and love it already.
Been a member since 2014 and originally wanted a P38 and spent ages looking for the right one, but I got seduced by the L322 and once driven the Supercharged I was sold. Taken me over a year to find the right one so hopefully I have got it right. I will keep it a year and if it proves to be a "keeper" I then may convert to Gas.

Very nice.

I’ve run 3 RR’s on gas and all of them ran perfectly. But you do have to be in it for the long term to enjoy any decent sort of pay back. So maybe cut down a years trial to a few months

Thanks for all the comments and the welcome. Been off with the flu this week so done very little with the car, but I must have read 100's of posts and unusually for a man I have read all the manuals!

I cant put gas on it for a year as I have a warranty on the car for 12 months but I will be seriously considering it, my trip computer currently shows 5mpg! and that was the drive of 5 miles to collect.
And yes I did just check the supercharger works, very impressive

Last dealer service was in 2016 at 95,000 it's now on 111,000 so its done very little in the past few years, its tax class was disabled (and still is) so that might explain it.

I plan to do a full oil service, engine, diff's, transfer, gearbox (that had a rebuild in 2017 at 96,450) and supercharger.
Need to look at nearside wheel arch that's just starting to show signs of bubbling.
I need to source and install a towbar as soon as I can and a charger (probably a ctek) as it wont be used daily.

The ctek adaptor is a great piece of kit for charging via the tow socket. Fit a 13 pin one for a cleaner look on the car. Less rear end clutter Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

I haven't driven a supercharged - I bet it's great fun (5mpg says it must be!) Hope you have a brilliant time with it once the flu season's over... supercharging about in the Spring-time is something to look forward to.

I thought they all came with the detachable tow bar maybe not either way enjoy and welcome oh and you will end up at about 14 mpg

Have you not given the loud pedal a tickle in sport mode yet ? real world single figure mpg guaranteed every time
but what fun worth all your pocket money on. Range rover 4.2 SC 06MY.

Errr no not used Sport mode yet! not sure I can afford it lol.

I was a passenger in a RR sport sc while it was in development and was blown away. So when I drove a FFRR sc I was hooked. But its not like a sports car, I've driven a Ferrari a lambo and a 300hp lotus elise they are fast, but the RR is just something else, how can something that heavy do that!
