| pld118 Member Since: 25 Mar 2013 Location: Bairns Posts: 4218      | Thanks... trying to weigh up whether it’s worth the hassle/ like them enough... our 22s are immaculate/ really nice wheels and as we know 22” turbines are very expensive to buy; used ones on eBay, many with with signs of wear and tear seem over priced given that refurbishment of diamond cut wheels is also expensive (e.g £125 to have one 18” diamond cut wheel properly refurbished a few year ago).  | ||

With the diamond cut ones you’ve only got to nick a kurb and straight away your through the lacquer and the corrosion can start. I had diamond cut ones on my c63. They looked fantastic for a couple of years then started to degrade from road salt eating into them. | ||

And, be careful with the quality/longevity of a refurb as the diamond cutting can drag and make imperfections under the lacquer and, poor quality can also get very sharp edges... These are prone to milking VERY quickly!
