United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Supercharged 5.0 SC V8 Stornoway Grey

In reply to the range question, my 2011 5.0 S/C typically says somewhere between 410 and 430 miles after a fill up. That's with me doing mixed motorway and London driving averaging ~20mpg give or take a bit depending on traffic.

If I'm only trundling around London and thus stuck in traffic with no motorway driving then economy drops to ~12mpg, and the range takes a big hit as well, although given a significant amount of London-only driving is quite rare for me I haven't ever really checked the dash to see how far down the range goes, I imagine below 300 miles.

England 2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Ipanema Sand

Thanks. Best I have ever seen in my 2010 3.6 TDV8 was 511 miles after trundling around very gently before filling up. In reality you never get that, 25mpg is the best I have ever seen on a long run to the Alps (just done one today in fact!) the only exception to that is sitting at 50mph with the average speed cameras and it will go up to 27-30mpg but not in real world ie 70-90mph conditions which is where I like to cruise.

I definitely drive my 5.0 S/C on the gentler side, but it can do reasonable mileage if not stuck in traffic. I generally have cruise set to 68-70 on the motorway, but when I first bought it and was following my wife home at 60mph all on motorways, it was nudging up to 25mpg.

If you do like hearing the V8 all the time though, or do a lot of slow driving in town, the mileage is pretty dreadful, and definitely to as forgiving as the diesels!

Back home and it averaged 20.6 mpg over just shy of 500 miles (90% motorway driving - cruise control set to 70) although I suspect the windy weather probably affected things.

Fuel efficiency wasn't one of the reasons that I purchased the car so not too worried about it Very Happy

That sounds pretty similar to mine - a great first drive, I hope you enjoyed it!
