DSP bypass cable

Has anyone had any experience with these. Looking at them no cutting of wires and the bypass cable just means the speakers plug into the new android head unit. Water has wrecked everything in the back so might be an option. Am I right in thinking everything becomes obsolete. DSP, BM54, tuner etc. Cheers

Hi muzzychris

Yes your correct, however the sound quality is reduced massively as you will be down to only 6 speakers left working and no amp. Greg R

Thanks for the reply! I think I’ll have to live with that haha. Seems to be the cheapest option and better than been stuck with headphones. Even if it’s just a stop gap until I source all the peices. Thanks.

If you are looking in to change your head unit to a Android system and the BMW DSP is fitted, there is only one way to go. Check the website: https://ibus-app.de/index_en.html.
There you can find all the information you need. I did this "conversion" on my 2004 L322 and was really happy with it, you will also have some gimmicks like the newer models have nowadays as standard.
No, I’m in no way related, don’t get any discount or provision out of this website, it’s just because I liked the system and somehow I miss it in my 2011 now.
