Battery compatability

Anyone using an Exide EK950 agm 850cca 95ah battery on their 4.4 tdv8 2010-12?
Specs look right/dimensions same as oem, just want reassurance before pulling the trigger as Tanya have them circa £100 currently

Thanks in advance

That one you mention is an 017 however I believe you need an 019

Some people sqeeze an 020 but it's v.tight.

. Cheers, Greg

Interestingly the 017 you mention is

017: Capacity 95 Ah & CCA 850 A
vs
019 Bosch is also 95 Ah & CCA 850 A

So I'm not sure with the 000 number system means...

Somebody should come along here soon and explain....
.. Cheers, Greg

Yes that fact confuses me too
Same spec and size etc and some even list it as an 017/019
Dont know whether it makes any odds tbh as specs are identical but would be nice to get a definitive answer
Ive emailed Tanya and hopefully will get a reply tomorrow

Exide is the go to battery for Maserati owners. They are VERY sensitive to low voltage and most owners have them on trickle chargers. I will be buying one of these once you have the 017/019 answer as my LR battery is failing. 2011 4.4tdv8 Vogue

My experience, and there is a thread somewhere -- specifically for 4.4 TDV8 is it needs to be - 019 (not 020) and AGM -- get those two things and it's then simply a choice of manufacturer, which I accept is a different kettle of fish Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Northstar

Guys if you want to fit a real battery to your car forget all of the above, Fit either and only a Northstar or Odyssey (both companies have one model which fits and exceeds all other options.. Ive done all the research for you beleive me

The batteries are built to military standards and unlike all other crap on the market are made from pure new 100% virgin lead not recycled garbage which is not a true 100% lead battery, Northsar have 4 or 5 year warranties (country dependent) which should give you some idea of what you are purchasing .. they are not cheap nor do they make one the "correct size" for the L322 but imo they in retrofitting reality make a better sized battery as they are not longer but have more height in their build and in the L322 we have plenty of height to play with , I will get a post up in a day or so on fitting mine with pictures.... i had to re configure the positive battery terminal which was a very simple task and instead of making up new brackets i have two heavy duty ratchet straps holding the battery in place .. yes it might sound dodgy however it is probably far more secure than factory fitment in all honesty

This is the battery i fitted to my car which is rated , 1370 CCA , 103Ah reserve capacity which is a bit of a funny measurement pending on battery manufacturer, and i have a five year warranty

I got sick of having to worry about battery drain in remote areas etc and we can't clutch start our cars been automatic , we have huge amounts of current drain as you all know so i wanted to sort the problem once and for all.. I have had this battery in for over two years... it has been flawless so far.. spend the coin fit a real battery with 100% pure lead and be done with it!!

There is a very good reason why this battery is 35 kilos!, You will find that it is almost double , yes double the weight of what you are looking at above.. why?, because its double the battery

Im sure the Odyssey is a cracking battery but for us UK owners it appears that the battery posts are different and the fact we need to ‘fettle’ would certainly invalidate any warranty
Fir £107 and a 4 year warranty from a reputable UK company with an easy return policy i think im more than happy tbh👍
