Well specced up my ideal car and it turned out at £82540. Then specced up an Evoque which turned out at £44320. The price of the Evoque is just within budget, as I'm not paying for it, the FFRR is about £60k too expensive.

Yeah, I hear you Adam. I just paid a smidge under 30k for a 2007 VSE with 60k up it. That was over 70 when new.

Mind you, I did buy the wife's Jag XF new. 3 year old ones were fetching high 20's at the time and I got a new one (with the better engine) for 38. Dealer keeps hassling me to change it and is offering 34 after 14 months and 19k miles. That kind of depreciation I can live with. Mind you, like yourself I am a tad anal about keeping it clean.
