ATM I cannot actually verify but it's possible that after "lockdown" only essential supplies will be moved by road.

What is classed as "essential" ? - no doubt we will soon be told.

I drive HGV's (through an agency) within the food sector - I have just been offered limitless driving hours but I'll stick to the hours as before thank you.

This Corona virus issue will bring out the very best of us - sadly, it will also bring out the worst. 2003 Range Rover Vogue TD6

Rubbish! The hammer price is what a car sells for. If it doesn’t reach its reserve then the Auctioneer will say so and move on to the next lot.

I have bought over a dozen cars from the BCA auctions over the years and all have been good. Yes they may have minor cosmetic or mechanical problems but these are all declared and The condition of the vehicle assessed prior to the auction and graded 1 (ready for the forecourt) to 5 (requires major work)

Yesterday’s auction was on behalf of Blackhorse Finance, so these would have been vehicles that had been handed back or traded in at the end of a PCP or similar.

What grade was this Range Rover Sport?

U are probably right Richard. . I just like a bargain, that said ? When I mooted the thought of the runaround I got slapped quite hard, so it’s quite all a slow process. Makes me laugh really, it’s not as if it’s her money!!!!

I’m delighted you are pleased and are enjoying the Westminster, u might want my 405 come the time. Whistle

Best wishes

Apologies if we are now going off topic & hijacking this thread...

Re your L405, no thanks - not after you told me how much better the L322 was you sold me ....or as that your sale spatter ?!!

Funnily enough, my wife is keener than I to “update”, but I would certainly like to have a L405 one day.

Look after yourselves.

I’ll let you know.

I still think the westminster I sold you, is a better car. The 405 has more bells and whistles, but somehow the Westie works.

U know the range with the smaller tank was a big bug bear, indicated range was around 430 miles. the other day, I did 350 miles round trip at 70mph or so, and the liar o meter still had a range of 180 miles... that’s a stonking 530 miles . The difference was the roads were empty ! Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Back on subject

Absolute right ... no demand no money no jobs, no cars due to no production. Looming launch for new cars possibly delayed so more shortages... dirty diesel v non existent electric until late this year/next year .

Not a problem I would like to figure out. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

Something I assumed. They will stops sales and freeze priced. Auctions are stopped since a while now so when everything resumes, price will resume from there. I think PCP and finance will be hard to get so cash buyers will be happy.

Thats a pretty good deal already if you're around the 20k mark. List they start at about 110k basic.

Would be interested to know the spec of the car if and when you can share please do.

If you look at the LR AU site you will see quite a few pre-reg cars at prices which will be a discount to list, e.g. 4.4SDV8 AB £89,500. Spec lists can be a bit unreliable, but even so an indication. If LR are pushing cars on to dealers then they'll presumably be keen to shift them, but Q the practicalities just now. Only Range Rovers since 1988
