Facelift Rear Bumper Swap-Parking Sensors & Camera Issue | |
Good morning everyone,
Hoping someone can help. I’ve just replaced the rear bumper on my 2016 L405 SDV8 AB with a facelift version (2018+). I reused my original parking sensors, as I’d read elsewhere that this was the correct approach. After fitting the new bumper and reconnecting the harness, I’m now getting the message: “Parking aid not available, consult dealer,” along with a long beep. The front and rear parking sensors no longer work, auto parking is greyed out, and the front left camera also seems to be inoperative.
A diagnostic scan using an iCarSoft 3.0 throws up “No Communication with PCM.” Everything was working fine before the bumper swap, so I’m a bit stuck on what’s gone wrong.
If anyone has any suggestions or can point me in the right direction for troubleshooting, I’d really appreciate it.
