Rear seat recliner and backward, forward adjustment not worki

Newly acquired 5.0 SC rear seat electrics appear to be dead, I have checked the fuses which are OK any other quick fixes? If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem!!

Do you mean the rear window lock out switch? If so yes I have tried that. If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem!!

Have you been trying them with the ignition on or off? As they time out after a specific time period... Thumbs Up

rear window lock out switch

Yes.

Failing that and wot Craig said if you are confident about fuses then a bit of detective work I guess.

Can the passengers seat be controlled from its own switches? (Fore/aft)
Do both rear controls not work or just one?
Do the heat/cool dials light up and work the climate seats?
Can the rear windows be operated from their own rear controls?

.

. Cheers, Greg

Front passenger seat is ok, rear windows work from the switches in the rear, heating and cooling switches illuminated. The two fuses are both 20 amp and are both good. If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem!!

Rear heating and cooling actually works though?

Also regarding the driver's lockout, just test it does lock out the windows.
If this does not lock out the rear windows then that drivers switch pack could be faulty.

If it were me I'd start with a battery reset.
If you have an IIDTool then check and clear errors.

Then I'd be looking for the connectors under the seats.

Also have a look at the workshop manual in the wiki?

. Cheers, Greg

I’ll check the lockout switch, I’ve run two scans and found several faults which I have cleared but the seat issue is not coming up. I will also check to see if the heated seats actually heat. I can’t understand why it’s not showing as a fault. If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem!!

Sorted the seat issue, went into the CCF deleted all the functions that didn’t work, then went back in and showed them fitted and hey presto they all work.
Thanks to all for comments and advice. If you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem!!
