Did you "dynomat" the doors or just change the speakers?
Are you doing the swap yourself?
It about a month until I get my car so I will be doing lots of reading and checking between now and then.

I did not do any dynomat in the doors. There looks to be a bit of sound deadening material in the doors already. I did the swap myself, it was pretty quick and straightforward. I followed the Youtube guides for removing the door cards posted by powerfuluk. No surprises.

I the next couple of days, I plan to pull the passenger seat and swap the amps.

Just to add my 2peneth to this... 6 months ago i purchased every speaker from a 2016 with Premium 24 sound system. The speakers are all carbon fibre and came from a breakers yard... So, i changed every speaker out in my car 18 speakers in total 2 in each rear panel (mid & tweeter) 3 in each door (woofer mid & tweeter) & 2 in the dash (mid & tweeter) i haven't as yet taken the drivers seat out to change the sub...

Now this alone was a great upgrade as i found not only were my old speakers lacking! They were literally falling apart with my level of volume... Whistle

Up until recently i have been very happy with the sound until!! recently I got speaking to Simon & Powerfuluk and he started running past me his findings on amps! So, apparently the amp for the 24way Premium sound system is huge compared with mine on the 825w & nearly a direct swap Sniggering which got me to thinking.............

So, next thing Simon says is "well, ive got one here somewhere?" "take it away and try it, makes more sense you trying it as you have the speakers installed already, let me know your thoughts?"

And here it is below... Its positioned along side the original amp from my 825 system...

Fits perfectly under the passenger (UK RHD) seat as the floor is printed to take both/either amp... I had to modify the power lead as there is now 2 lives & 2 earths instead of one and they run 2x 80a fuses rather than 1x 40a... The sound has now gone up a further level which makes me very happy Very Happy next will be the Sub under the drivers seat when i get chance...

Hope this helps some of you guys Thumbs Up

Is the amp this part number (LR098871)?
Do you mean 2x40a and not 1*80a? Whistle

Where do I find car breakers with these parts or hear of car that would be broken with them?

If I do change I would change All of the speakers first and as last step if I still want more the amp...

After reading more and checking part numbers for the 2019 RR. I will need to find a LR098875 amp. The face lift cars have different amps.

Your biggest challenge will be upgrading the power wiring to the amplifier

Um no! I meant 2x 80a fuses instead of the 1x 40a to the original amp Whistle Whistle Whistle Rolling Eyes
This amp is what 3 times the physical size and the 24 way premium system uses 2x 80a maxi fuses to power the amp through power cabling which is a good twice as thick!

How easy was it to add the power cables? Did you need to change the speaker plugs?
I would be interested on the sub change.

I think that if I do this I will do all of the speakers in the first step. Then the amp later.

it will cost about 2400 for everything new... 1700 for just the speakers... 1200 for the speakers without sub...
I will continue looking at eBay....

Is there a way to find out the model number of the amp without taking out the seat and carpet...

Just a brief word from me. The factory 1700w Signature system is a real joy. Might even be worth £4K. So new car buyers out there: just tick the box! You’ll get over the cost (eventually). L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

Craig
Door speakers not an issue. Videos on PowerfulUkLTD to show how is it done. Rear speakers I assume the same.
How hard to replace centre speakers and where can I find the instructions?
Sub I again I assume is ok, even in new location?
For the amp did you add fuses to the fuse panel are there spaces? How hard is that job?

My level is that I am building a kit car so I am ok (better if instructions)...

Rear speakers are easy, you simply pry the speaker cover upwards and it comes out very easily... The speakers are beneath...
Centre dash is exactly the same... Trim tool in the front corners and it pops out the cover... The speakers are beneath...
Sub is under UK drivers seat... Not looked into that yet?
Amp, i needed to add two power leads and two fuses and a different plug all together, all of that info came from Topix... Im guessing everyone will do this a different way? I added external fuses by the fuse board and added 10mm power cable so, about 3 or 4 times the size of the original power cabling!! Shocked The power plug i made by adding the biggest spade connectors possible then hot glue gunning between them for insulation... Once fitted to the floor the power plug was fitted rigidly so could not just fall out! Thumbs Up

I agree that it would be worth it. I had the B&W Diamond system in my last car which was a similar upgrade cost (£4,700) and it was absolutely fantastic. The Meridian Surround system is decent enough, but quite a step down, would have loved to have the Signature system but I didn't want to buy new this time and it's such a rare option. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

Well the new amp is here about a week before I can get the car. So will start planning on what I need to do and the order in which I do them.

Craig do you think it is possible find a power plug or will I need a similar solution to you?

It seems that for the newer cars with the AUD4 base amps. All have the plug with the double power cable. Where can I find/get the wiring diagrams for the 2019/2020 car?
Are they avaliable with the TopIx Subscription? SDV8 AB MY 2020
