why dont you get one of those usb things with a voltage readout...saves cutting the dash.. ... - .- -.

I have one of these it's a USB fast charger and has the charging voltage displayed just plugs into the cig lighter.

Leave your gap iID tool plugged in and the volts show on the information display in the dash all the time 👍 |

You could get a usb voltmeter and leave it plugged into the cubby hole or for £15 or so you can get an obd head up display and then have speed, temp and voltage options on you windscreen. 2011 4.4tdv8 Vogue

You can view the volts in the hidden menu area 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

That's pretty much what I have in mine BUT mine also let's me play music from my phone via fm tithe car stereo, hence I dont feel the need to rip out the standard infotainment system. |

Hi, thanks for all the options offered, I don't have a usb port so the only option would be to have a cigar socket one but the only socket up front is, in the ashtray which I'd have to leave ajar with the thing sticking out, just doesn't seems elegant or tidy.. 2008 L322 Vogue 3.6 TDV8 in Java Black with parchment and Navy interior. 125000mls.

^^. Used a fuse that is permanently on, never had a problem with battery drain caused by it. Been on the car for about eight years to date. |
