Thanks Stan, will do as agreed I'd like it as safe as can be, I think it could even be a bad connection or wiring as it come and goes but no pattern to it. |

not a L405 but my old td6 had an airbag light ptoblem and it turned out to be the occupancy sensor in the seat, replaced that and all was well.

I had the light come on when i put the seat all the way down. Something to do with the wiring under the seat. Pushed all the plugs home as best I could and not come back since. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

A quick update. I ended up going for the Autel code reader MD806 pro, as it reads all cars not just LR. I must say I’m very impressed with it up to now. Airbag light was a bad connection on the drivers airbag, pointed me straight to it, the scanner even has graphs of all live data so you can compare variations , IE the airbags were all circa 2.5 ohms, except drivers airbag which was 7 ohms, you could then watch it fluctuate as you turn the steering wheel proving for sure where the issue lay. I’ve also registered a new battery in the system. Will update further as I use it and get used to how it works.

Just for clarity, you do NOT need to clear airbag faults on 405's... cycle the ignition and if the fault is fixed the light will off |

Thanks Craig. That’s where I’ve been looking under the seats amongst other things but no luck, hence purchasing the tester, the one I had was very basic, engine codes only. I was surprised to find it on the steering wheel, the tool helped me by looking at the live values. I didn’t know they self reset on the 405 though, makes sense now why it was intermittent. |

Thank you Peter, pretty sure I’ve found it in the steering column/drivers airbag. But if not I will definitely check that plug out. 🔌 |

Quick update, was a bad connection, earth wire on the drivers airbag module was a lose fit. Cleaned and give it a quick squeeze with the pliers, all seems ok. Thanks for the replies and suggestions |
