You may want to check the condition of Motor mounts.

Just stopped after 90 minute drive - the rear right tyre (OSR) is warm to touch, the rest are cool. Brakes all feel the same temperature

On the way back from Gotts last night I did 4 sets of heavy braking 70-30 ish and the first 20 miles of the drive were smooth. Now it’s back to the way it was, with the OSR tyre being warm to touch 1995 4.6 v8, green/tan (long gone)

Certainly seems to point towards something in that area. Nothing warm other than the tyre. Odd 1995 4.6 v8, green/tan (long gone)

Put the spare on in place of the rear right? See if it makes any difference?
Might it be worn rear bushes or tracking/camber settings causing the rear right to not run true in line under load. When you braked hard it might have pushed things back into position for a few miles? Previously a 2008MY Tonga Green Vogue SE 3.6 TDV8

As it’s getting a little more noticeable, It’s looking like 2 issues:

1. Rear right brake binding. Slightly warmer than the rest after a drive and the pads are more worn.
2. Front right bearing. When driving and moving the wheel very slightly left to right I can feel the vibration come and go as the weight shifts (doesn’t change when braking aside from a very slight noise with forces shifting)

I’ll jack up each corner and see what I find. Had a look underneath yesterday and found the front diff covered in oil - something above it is leaking but can’t see what. And a gaiter has been pinched as some point - very thin line of grease decorated underneath 1995 4.6 v8, green/tan (long gone)

SORTED!! Well chuffed. 2 bent wheels...

There is a slight resonating vibration/rumble sound which is slightly worse on acceleration. All in all it’s fine as the bad part is sorted - the ride has vastly improved as well.

A very good point made by someone on another post is that the CVD system reacts to wheel hop and tries to reduce it by hardening that damper. The bent wheel was causing the CVD system to harden up so I had 1) vibrating car through the seat and 2) a terrible ride. What threw me off is that occasionally it would be fine, this was presumably due to the CVD not adjusting to the bent wheel and hiding the problem.

Just the heater, heated seats, tailgate straps, rear washer, windscreen moisture issue, a bit of paint and new rubber mats to sort now!! But at least it’s a joy to drive (albeit freezing with no heating)

How did you figure out it was bent wheels?

I have the same in my (wifes) car. Drives fine until about 60 mph and then starts vibrating. At around 75 mph it vibrates so much that you can see the passenger seat shaking (our car is LHD).

I had all wheels rebalanced and tyres are only a year old....

I could try to swap for another set of wheels to see if the problem goes away, in the meanwhile any other suggestions?

So, my tyre shop had just installed a new Hunter Road Force machine which apparently measures everything.

Turns out all wheels were fine but one tire was damaged internally, likely from hitting a pothole or curb, and beyond repair.

So two new tyres need.....annoying as only a year old...I wonder if the Pirelli tyres with the noice canceling foam are more sensitive to damage?

Really cool machine btw which tells the shop how to adjust the tyre on the wheel to get the balance exactly perfect. Then also which wheel goes on what corner of the car.

Could be worth a shot for those experiencing rough rides to see if there is any improvements.... RR Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - 11
