There are 405 parts available at breakers and / or on ebay

But you may be able to graft another similar clip onto the rear of the grille.

. Cheers, Greg

The almond PN is LR047413. Also that’s for the LH. The RH might be a different PN. From the picture it looks like it’s just missing the typical metal barb clips.

thanks,

i have emailed a supplier and given that number and attached the pics.
I cant seem to find a UK site that displays the item.

Even when this is done, i still need to get the flipping speakers working, which is proving a challenge.

That’s the thing. The heavy handed fool has broken the clips and they are plastic.
Tbh I could do as Stan says and use double sided tape but it won’t pull tight and clip into place and I’m being a bit “new car ish”

I just hope the speaker fix isn’t a challenge but if the rest of the system works then it can’t be too serious ..... can it ?

is that just a case of disconnect and reconnect battery and will it mean that I would need to reset everything afterwards?

I suppose it has to be worth a try.

Do you have access to a diagnostic tool for checking for DTCs? In theory, if there is a disconnect between the amp and the speakers, there should be a DTC logged somewhere. The seat speakers have a dedicated channel on the audio amp.

its been plugged into a diagnostics tool recently but no fault code re radio or speakers, although i suppose the code could have been cleared?

I wish I could just get my hand under the seat and plug something in that may have come adrift.
I just cant imagine that two speakers would both fail at the same time.

I was wondering about the under-seat connector....

Best approach is always to start with the obvious.

Loosen but don't remove rear two seat bolts. Then remove forward two bolts. You should be able to tilt the seat backwards, paying close attention to stressing any wires.

Have done this on my L322 and there is enough slack to tilt it back safely.

Don't disconnect anything, there will be an airbag connector under there. Just try to identify the speaker connectors and check.

. Cheers, Greg
