Euro Tunnel Question

I'm planning tip via the Euro Tunnel for next week. A simple questions for chunnel regulars:

Does the Euro Tunnel flexiplus ticket allow you to adjust dates and well as times without incurring additional fees? MY23 D350 HSE

Yes to Q2,
Yes I think for Q1 - you’re paying a lot more on a flexi ticket to have that freedom.

Thanks Andy,

Given the current situation I need the freedom to change return dates if required i.e. each time this government makes a short-notice random decision on travel arrangements. MY23 D350 HSE

Iv never paid for a flexi ticket every and I use the tunnel a dozen times a year. Have a look at your standard ticket prices and what it gives you I came back a day late last year straight on the 1st train home.
And iv never got on the train I book going either as I stop for breakfast on the way down.

Get that Dave thanks, but I want the flexibility to change dates not just times, and without incurring fees, which can be almost the cost of a new standard ticket. MY23 D350 HSE

Without looking at the terms and conditions suggested above, we never had a problem changing dates.

With flex-plus, you will get home whilst the rest of us rushing home before a deadline, sit in a que outside Dunkirk waiting for our turn sometime next month.

Don’t forget your piece of paper for French controls/ customs saying you swear you don’t have the bug, the link is on the euro t web site. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

Can you post the link please Bill. I have looked on the site and can't see it anywhere. I am due to travel via the tunnel at the beginning of September.

Thanks

Ivan

Looks like it has changed since last week. Check before you travel under the COVID heading on their website.
They are fairly relaxed abut it anyway.

There is on line form from france to the U.K.

This is the UK to France form:

https://www.interieur.gouv.fr/Actualites/L...-de-voyage

It’s still referred to on the RAC site:

Flexi is great

As you approach the ticket barriers stick to the right - there’s a flexi only lane - once your out the other side of the barrier, stat on the right - do not go with the other traffic off to the left - you then miss out the terminal completely and go straight to passport control

After passport control, there is a flexi lounge - with toilets and free food & drink - don’t be shy, just pretend there’s more people waiting in the car for you Whistle there’s Starbucks coffee machines too, but they are really slow, so stop there first if there’s no queue and you want coffee.

You then head into your very own pre boarding lane. If boarding is in progress you will go straight on, sometimes jumping the existing queue. If no boarding, then your lane opens up first.

Similar procedure on the way back except the flexi only Lane is on the left.

In answer to your actual question - you can arrive +/- 24 hours of your booked departure and go straight onto the next train.

If you want to change the date, you need to call up in advance and make the change - or do it online.
Another tip - if your chosen crossing is full, then book as close as you can and take advantage of the +/- 24 hour flexibility Thumbs Up

When we came back earlier this year we were a month early and the system did not recognise the car reg but when I typed the booking reference in it booked us on the next train 20 minutes later.

Sometimes you get lucky - try that on a a day there’s been a problem and you will have a very different experience.

There’s plenty of times all flexi has really got me is peace of mind and some sandwiches, bot on other days they are operating a stacking system in car parks before check in with many hours of delay and you just waft to the front....

I find it particularly useful on the way home - after a long drive through France, with uncertain traffic conditions, I don’t really want to be waiting longer than I have to.

Did the form make a come back ?
I travelled to France on 3 July and no forms were needed.
