where does this part go?

when I removed the air box this part was lying against the inner wing but i cant work out where it goes?

PQR 500260 is a drive belt tensioner cap according to the tinternet.

Oh, thanks for that Kevinp. just 2 weeks ago i paid a garage to replace alternator and belt so i have to assume that they didn't refit that and let it fall down next to the air box. is it an important part do you know?

With it having a part number on it I would presume they made it for a reason. Possibly dust seal type thingy??

It will be the cover for a roller bearing on the aux system to stop ingress and to allow access to remove the nut.
Have a look down the front and see if you can see where its missing from.
From a guess ide say its the roller on the drivers side.

Pretty sure it goes on the top pulley. Or tensioner.
