Hi Guys.

Well I have bought myself a SDV6 2013 Autobiography.

I just want to know why some of the v6 diesel's have two air intake boxes under the bonnet and aslo some have the 6 pot Brembos and some dont.

I guess some are the less powerful TDV6 and others like the one I'm getting is the more powerful SDV6 hence the uprated brakes and twin air intake boxes.

Just curious really, any help would be appreciated.

It's strange why does she have the uprated brembo 6 pot brakes and the twin air intake boxes like a SDV6?

I think the SDV6 the early version was something like 275 bhp?

Are you buying a Range Rover Sport?

No she is a full fat L405

From reading the brochure I found this morning you could opt for the SDV6 engine so I guess you get the uprated 6 pot Brembo's as standard?

They are not painted on the one I'm getting but they are definitely Billet alloy Brembo's.

My understanding (being a TDv6 owner for quite some time and having done a fair bit of research on the TDv6 engine over the years) was that the engine variants for the L405 as at 2013/2014 were:
3.0 TDv6 258 bhp
4.4 TDV8
5.0 SC

There were changes to the 3.0 Diesel engine in later years although you’re specifically referring to a 2013.

From looking at your posting history and the advert link you posted, the seller thinks they’ve sold you a TDv6 as well

Just a question does your Tdv6 have two intake air boxes or one?

The one I am getting has two one each side like the SDV6 and as I said earlier also the Brembo's?

I do have a picture of under the bonnet but it's not a very good one.

the tdv6 has one airbox which is on the right as you stand in front looking at the engine. ... - .- -.

Hmmm very strange mine has two air intake boxes.

I know when they have two air boxes each side they have two separate intercoolers on each side like a SDV6.

Hmm maybe she has had a upgrade to a SDV6

This is strange, will try put a photo up of the engine but my Mrs took the photos so there not great!!
